Boarding at Platinum Veterinary Services

Dog boarding, medical boarding, and drop-off rehab in Pilot Point — with a veterinarian on the property.

Our boarding is small on purpose. Dogs stay in our home-based facility in Pilot Point with Sterling, Sandra, and Dr. Schiller on the property. Because we are a veterinary practice, dogs who need medications, a low stress environment, mobility help, or post-surgical care are welcome here — and if anything is due while your dog is with us, we are happy to address it during your pet's stay.

Before the stay

1. Confirm your boarding dates. Please call or text us at (940) 299-7528 before finalizing your plans. We limit boarding to just a few pets at a time, so we want to make sure we have a spot reserved and everything ready for your dog. We'll also schedule your drop-off and pick-up times during the same call.

2. Fill out the boarding form. The boarding form takes about five minutes and gives us the details we need to care for (and spoil) your dog, including how they eat, any medications they take, and what makes them happiest. Please send it to us at least 48 hours before arrival so we have plenty of time to prepare for their stay.

3. Pack a bag. A few familiar things from home can help your dog settle in faster:

  • Their regular food, plus one extra day's worth
  • Any medications or supplements in their original, labeled containers, along with their dosing schedule
  • A bed or blanket that smells like home
  • A favorite toy
  • A leash and collar with ID tags

4. Provide your dog's vaccine records. If your dog is new to us, please email their records to info@platinumvettx.com before arrival. We require current rabies, DAPP (distemper/parvo), and Bordetella vaccines, and we recommend canine influenza and leptospirosis as well. Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention should also be current.

If anything is due, just check the box on the boarding form, and we'll take care of it when your dog arrives.

Drop-off

When you pull in, please text us at (940) 299-7528 and we'll come out to meet you. We'll bring your dog and their things inside, then go over feeding and medications with you before you head out.

Early mornings, evenings, and weekends all work for us. Because every arrival is scheduled, please let us know at least 12 hours ahead (or as soon as possible) if your plans change.

Pick-up

Text us when you arrive, and we'll bring your dog and their belongings out to you. We'll share updates regarding their stay and answer any questions you have before you leave.

While your dog is with us

We'll keep you updated with texts and photos throughout your dog's stay, whenever there's something to share.

Rates

Boarding starts at $85 per night. Any veterinary care you request or approve during your dog's stay is provided at our standard rates.

We accept cash, credit cards, Cherry, and CareCredit.

Your confirmation will include our address, cell phone numbers, and directions to the property.
